Year 5 Spring 2 weekly overview

Dear Parents/Carers,

Just a reminder that it is the Year 5 trip to Murton Park next Tuesday (14th January 2020). Children will need to be at school for 8am as the bus will leave at 8:15am.

On the day children will imagine they are arriving as new settlers. They will be taken to their new homes on the dark-age settlement and given appropriate costume. Here they will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the daily life of a Dark Age family as they explore their new homes. They will learn new skills and all about the hard work that was part of daily life in the Viking time period.

All children will need to bring a packed lunch and a non-fizzy drink in a backpack.  The children need to wear their school uniform with an appropriate coat and sensible shoes or boots as some of the activities take place outdoors.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Kirsty Addison
