Dear Parents and Carers,
Please note the following changes in COVID Guidance from the 17th January 2022 across England:
• You can stop self-isolating at the start of day 6 if you get 2 negative rapid lateral flow test results on days 5 and 6 and do not have a temperature. Tests must be at least 24 hours apart. If either test is positive, wait 24 hours before testing again.
• If you get a positive rapid lateral flow test result, most people will not need to take a PCR test to confirm the result. You must self-isolate immediately if you get a positive rapid lateral flow test result. If you have symptoms you must get a PCR.
As the cases in Year 6 are on the increase, we would ask that your child does a daily lateral flow test if they are in Year 6. Isolate as above if this is positive. Year 6 are now operating in their own bubble until cases settle. Hopefully by working together we will not have to close Year 6. I will keep you updated.
It has also been reported that a child in Year 4 has had a positive lateral flow test this weekend, we would ask that your child does a lateral flow they are in Year 4 on Monday morning before sending them to school. Please can you send all results to email@example.com so we can keep Public Health informed and manage the cases to prevent closure. Thank you so much for your continued support, we will keep you updated if things change.
