We want all children to continue learning throughout this uncertain period of possible local restrictions and self-isolation, whether they are learning at home or at school.
For those of our children who will be spending periods of time working from home, we recognise that school cannot be replicated at home.
In order for home learning to be successful, it is important for families to establish a routine that works for them. We understand that different families work in different ways. Some prefer a clearly defined structure to learning at home whilst others prefer a more flexible approach. Some prefer to have lots of work provided by school to be getting on with while others would prefer less.
48 hour individual isolation whilst awaiting test results
If your child is sent home from school, they will be given a pack of work to complete at home.
If your child is at home when asked to self-isolate, you will find work for each year group below.
14 day individual isolation at home
An individual pack will be delivered to your child at home. A member of staff will be telephoning weekly to maintain contact between school and home and to provide feedback on learning. Your child’s class teacher will also be available for you to contact via ClassDojo for support or additional work.
14 day bubble closure
Your child’s class teacher will set work via ClassDojo. Children have been shown how to use this in school.
EYFS and Year 1 will be setting weekly tasks.
Year 2 through to Year 6 will set daily tasks on ClassDojo.
A member of staff will be telephoning weekly to maintain contact between school and home and to provide feedback on learning. Your child’s class teacher will also be available for you to contact via ClassDojo for support or additional work.
