Art - Pablo Picasso

This week, we are going to explore the processes involved in ‘product design’ and the works of Pablo Picasso.

The church warden of St. Paul’s church has asked our school if we would help them to design some panels to be displayed in the new labyrinth which has been cut into the grass in the field adjacent to the church.

They are hoping for the community to use this area for reflection and it will also be open to visitors as part of the churches festival on the 14th and 15th May.

They have chosen the hymn 'All things bright and beautiful' and the panels must be designed to reflect the words in the verses.  Year 5 and 6 have been asked to design panels that reflect the fifth verse.

He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well.

The children then designed their second panel which represented the words, 'How Great is God Almighty, who has made all things well'.
